I invited you and the member of my Facebook group (click the link here to join too) to do some soul-searching and sit down and write a list of what you would like to happen in your life.
This week we looked at the importance of having a vision of our lives that could exist beyond experiencing chronic migraines.
However, not only do we often feel hindered to sit down and write a list of things we actually want to have to happen in our lives, but the process of soul searching can also trigger us into feeling more miserable.
Then there is the problem that most people get stuck uncovering their vision because it gets wrapped up in all the things we think we should be doing.
Life is like this: from birth up till now, we have accumulated experiences and adopted beliefs from our environment based on what we heard saw, touched, smelled, etc.
We are all uniquely wired. Fear of re-experiencing discomfort has built up walls within our psyche that I sometimes compare to walls in a labyrinth.
Imagine going blindfolded through a labyrinth, the labyrinth being your subconscious and psyche and the walls represent the beliefs, attitudes, behaviour, and perceptions we formed within our lifetime.
Why blindfolded? Because of how our subconscious mind works; scientists say that we operate by about only 5% on a conscious level in our waking hours and we are mostly automatic and we are not aware of ourselves.
Like most people, you stumble across blindly bumping into walls and even into other people.
When we experience migraines we keep bumping into the same wall over and over and we can’t see where we wanted to go as we are blindfolded, there are walls and lots and lots of other people telling us where we should go and what we should do.
We lost sight of the center of the labyrinth and what it even meant to us to reach it: Fulfillment, happiness, perfect and vibrant health in our life.
Instead of living life through the lens of your migraines and its limitations for you or what you’ve been told you have to do, I invite you to embrace your vision in a whole new way:
Imagine being in a labyrinth where you are not blindfolded and you see the walls and the people as they are.
As you walk the labyrinth you can see the writing on the walls and they make sense and as you understand the walls become invisible and the center which represents your hopes, wishes, and dreams becomes visible.
We uncover our inner vision that already exists within us and that you don’t have to search for it or make something up that may or may not fit.
All we have to do is to remove the blindfolds and allow, surrender, and embrace the process.
