The Cause Of Your Pain And Its Secret Language

Are you in pain and are you desperate to find something that will help?
Have you been diagnosed with a condition or disease?

Has your doctor told you there is nothing else you can do, but to take painkillers, even though those don’t often ‘kill’ the pain?

Have you ever wondered if there is more to your pain and that your body actually wants to tell you something?

Look no further!Scientists who have used MRI scans to see, which parts of the brain are active when subjects do various different things, have found out, that pain involves both sensation and emotion. Different types of pain result in different areas of the brain being active, but both sensation and emotion show up together.

In another study, volunteers were induced with an electric stimulus and were asked to first recall a neutral event and second time to recall events that made them feel sad or angry.

The intensity of the pain was recorded and the levels of pain were consistently higher when the volunteers were recalling events that made them feel sad or angry.

Could it be that pain is more than just cause and effect?

Could it be possible that pain is affected by everything that is going on in the nervous system?

That would mean that our mood, our past experiences, and our expectations can all change the way pain is interpreted at any given time! Even how we feel about the pain: the frustration, the anger, and the helplessness.

To find out what causes pain in our body, instead of asking ourselves ‘What is wrong with the body’ we could ask our body: ‘What are you trying to tell me?’

Here is the first step to finding the cause of your pain:

-Ask yourself:

~When did this pain start?

~What was going on then?

Take a pen and a piece of paper or a notebook

-To help you remember, you may want to close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.

Write all answers down.
